Bentley Motors has teamed up with Princess Yachts once again. This time, they worked together on the Mulliner-designed limited edition of the Continental GT Convertible Galene Edition for unveiling at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
This design collaboration followed the announcement of a three-year sponsorship deal by Princess and Bentley Motorsport earlier in the year. It was agreed that Princess branding will be on the livery of the 2017 Continental GT3 as it participates in races globally; it also included ongoing joint activities to create a nexus for luxury yachts and motor racing.
In addition to sharing a philosophy that blends luxury and performance, the new GT model saw Bentley’s Mulliner working with Princess Design Studio to create “the ultimate edition of the world-class convertible”.
Kiran Jay Haslam, Marketing Director Princess Yachts said both brands have an incredible synergy.
“It is a fitting opportunity for two British brands that both combine luxury and performance to collaborate, and some of the special features on this car are breathtaking,” Haslam said.
The luxurious automobile was inspired by the design and craft of Princess’ award winning super yachts. It has a Glacier White exterior with a flash of Sequin Blue on the lower brightware, emulating the styling lines of a contemporary Princess super yacht hull and the glistening reflected water line.
The convertible’s darkened front and rear lamps were inspired by the tinted windows on Princess vessels, while a dark blue hood completes the distinctive look.
