Jay-Z, who often sings about his favourite luxury beverage, now owns Armand de Brignac which is famous for its ace of spades insignia.
The brand legendary for its golden bottle comes with its signature spades insignia and costs in the region of £188 ($300) each. Sovereign Brands, a New York-based wine and spirits company, said it had sold the label to the hip hop star for an undisclosed sum. Armand de Brignac is produced by a staff of eight people at the Cattier family house in the French town of Chigny-les-Roses.
The fizz was launched in 2006 when it was also discovered by the Izzo and 99 Problems singer, who then featured it in his video for Show Me What You Got.The multi-millionaire rapper often includes lines about Champagne in his lyrics. In Young Forever he says: “And you never get old and the Champagne’s always cold.”

Yvonne Lardner, a spokeswoman for Sovereign Brands, said that the company has had a “wonderful relationship” with Jay Z. He became interested in owning the brand and made us an offer we simply couldn’t refuse.” she said.
The acquisition is the latest business venture for Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter. His past business deals have included a stake that he later sold in the Barclays Center arena in Brooklyn. Forbes magazine has estimated Jay Z’s net worth at $520m (£325m).The magazine said this week that Beyonce was the highest-earning woman in music last year, raking in $115m (£71m).
