Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Russia 10 Years in the Making

In the recent few months we have seen a slew of limited edition Hublot Big Bang Ferrari timepieces dedicated to places like Beverly Hills, Singapore and United Kingdom and now the watchmaker has unveiled a new limited edition Big Bang Ferrari timepiece which is exclusive to Russia. This is the first limited edition Ferrari watch designed specifically for Russia and it was launched on last Sunday to celebrate Ferrari’s 10th anniversary in the country. The partnership between Ferrari and Hublot has already entered the fourth calendar year and the relationship has hugely benefited both the brands. In fact, Hublot Chairman Jean-Claude Biver recently said that the Big Bang Ferrari collection is the most important modern Hublot timepiece and it alone makes up for at least 10% of the brand’s overall sales.

The special, limited edition Big Bang Ferrari Russia was unveiled at Moscow’s Barvikha Luxury Village, the high-class district of the capital, which was decked out in red for the occasion. The unveiling took place during on the first day of a three-day event which marks the beginning of a calendar of celebrations scheduled for 2014, the tenth anniversary of Ferrari’s presence in Russia.

The watch is set in a black ceramic case that measures 45.5mm and the bezel is made of carbon fibre with red moulding. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and it is water resistant to 100 meters. Movement is the Swiss automatic Hublot in-house caliber UNICO with 36 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 72 hours. It also comes with two interchangeable straps, including black Schedoni leather stitched onto black rubber, with red stitching and an innovative quick-change system inspired by the seat belt mechanism of cars. Only 25 examples of this limited edition Hublot Big Bang Ferrari watch will go on sale.
