With Paul Smith and Hublot making their mark on the FIFA World Cup in their own unique way, time for Louis Vuitton to take centre stage with a custom-made trunk perfect for the grand occasion. Only this time it has openings on the front too. And did I mention that it comes with the USD $10 million golden World Cup trophy as well?
The French maison have designed a custom trunk for the FIFA trophy’s luxe trip to the game on the final day of the month long tournament. “The case opens from the front and at the top to allow the trophy to be easily removed when, at the final game on July 13, it will be delivered to the captain of the winning game,” said a representative from Louis Vuitton.
We are in consensus that just likes any luxury traveller or connoisseur, the solid-gold World Cup trophy deserves a luxury touch, and none better than a LV monogrammed case. Handcrafted in Louis Vuitton’s famous Asnières workshop and boasting the brand’s signature detailing, including brass locks, monogrammed LV canvas and hardware corners, it certain fits the occasion.
But besides the stunning case, the trophy is also getting a stunner for a presenter. Supermodel Gisele Bundchen will be presenting the winners of the 2014 FIFA World Cup with the official trophy. We hear football quarterback husband Tom Brady might also be joining her at the ceremony so stay tuned in as the World Cup fervour sweep the luxury industry
