Hublot Wins Best Striking Watch At The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneva

Geneva, Switzerland – In front of an elite audience with big personalities from the watchmaking world, he Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Geneva revealed the winners: Hublot took the crown as the winner for the Best Striking watch with its Classic Fusion Cathedral Tourbillion Minute Repeater. Hublot was also nominated par the Grand Prix d’Horologerie de Geneva in the mechanical Exception Category the stunning The MP-05 LaFerrari was nominated, in the striking category Hublot’s Classic Fusion Cathedral Tourbillion Minute Repeater got a shout out whilst in the Sports category it was the Classic Fusion Pele. However, none was on par of excellence as this years winner, and the man behind the success was on hand to tell us why. 

“This prize is of huge value to us,” stated Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, who was in attendance at Geneva’s Grand Theatre to claim the award. “I am extremely proud to receive it on behalf of Hublot, and for this watch represents the full quintessence of our brand: a stylish look with the immediately recognisable Hublot codes, but also its movement, developed and produced entirely in-house within our Complications workshop in our Manufacture”

With the classic Fusion Cathedral Tourbillion Minute Repeater, Hublot presents its second Tourbillion Minute Repeater in 2014. A new signature Hublot  Manufacture movement with double cathedral chime. Born of the desire to pursue an independent route enabling Hublot to design and produce its own movements, the brand has now unveiled its second Minute Repeater coupled with a tourbillion. Exhibiting a marvellous balance between the classic style of its two major complications, a symbol f watchmaking art, and the dynamic, modern design of the Classic Fusion 45 mm, this piece is a fine exercise in style that demonstrates the principle of fusion between Tradition and Modernity.
