The Four Seasons Lanai Provides Fashion Inspiration for Designer’s Autumn Collection 2014

Four Seasons Resort Lanai (HI), is hosting some of the world’s elite fashion houses in a photo shoot series that is intended to complement the property’s panoramic view and scenic landscapes.

The gathering of such iconic fashion labels is reminiscent of New York or London Fashion Week but here, the fashion shoots draw on the remote natural beauty of the private island rather than staged in a makeshift exhibition studio. Since luxury sectors are so interconnected, it is important for brands to link up with one another and this backdrop provides that perfect opportunity. Expect addition traffic to the hotel.

Photographed by Dana Neibert and styled by Don Sumada, the series is inspirational on many fronts, bringing out the best from both the designer and the surrounding idyllic setting. Just to provide you a flavour of the goings, in Keahiakewlo, Mr. Sumada styled a model in a charcoal artisan applique dress by Donna Karan and black calf and suede tie-front Izzy booties by Chelsea Paris. Further on an olive green tunic dress by Valentino can be seen on the hotel’s grounds. Inside the property’s lodge, the creative duo created a scene in the style of a “traditional upcountry Hawaiian estate,” employing several pieces by Tom Ford.

From the majestic mountain ranges standing high and mighty in the backdrop where the series began, to the island’s deep blue panoramic southern shores where it concludes, the natural beauty on show makes it the perfect setting for launching this Fall’s Autumn collection by designers whose designing skills are just as natural but the end product extraordinary.
